The United Nations has said that it fears the world is on a brink of a global recession as a result of central bank policies.
Rebeca Grynspan, the Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) warned that tighter policy measures are already inflicting damage around the world saying, “There’s still time to step back from the edge of recession. But the current course of action is hurting the most vulnerable, especially in developing countries and risks tipping the world into a global recession.”
This sentiment is likely to give the gold bulls even more momentum as policymakers come under growing pressure and recession worries build.
