If you caught Wednesday’s mid-week Gold Bullion Bulletin, you’ll know that the gold bulls came out of the gates fast after the Easter weekend. That momentum has continued through the week, with prices reaching a 13-month high during trading yesterday (Thursday).
A trifecta of improved inflation readings, stronger crude oil prices and a continuing weakening in the U.S. dollar saw the yellow metal move within inches of setting a new all-time price high.
With the dollar slumping to a 10-week low on the back of the latest producer price index report, the bulls took full advantage, quickly gaining more than £22 ($28) to reach £1,635 ($2,053). Should gold continue to perform as it has, the present high of £1,659 ($2,078) could be demolished within hours. Don’t delay. Buy now.
